  2. ART WORK REVIEW
TITLE OF ART WORK: ALLEY BY THE LAKE
Alley by the lake is an art work painting painted by the artist Leonid Afremov, who is originally from Europe. The size of the art work is 24"x36" x 3/4", while the condition is excellent, the medium used in this artwork is oil on canvas the estimated value of the art work is $1,150 and was originally sold for $2,235 while the type of this artwork is Acrylic Painting on Canvas / Giclee.
This is original oil on canvas. The artist used only a palette-knife for painting. He did not use a brush in this painting. He used only natural oil paint and 100% pure cotton canvas. In the background the artist made use of the tree and the streetlights and that puddle, he also made use of strokes and complementary colors, combining cold and warm colors and also combined fiery reds and watery coolness which worked perfectly well. This artwork has been sold on the 04/17/2009 therefore not available in the market any more. The dominant colors used in this artwork are black, different shade of blue, brown and yellow
The background of this painting is a long stretch of orange trees on the left, and rain and clouds covering the rest. The painting is a landscape painting combining both cool watery by the left side of the artwork and reds comprising of lights and trees at the right side.
This artwork is a 2 dimensional piece of art and it is painted on a flat surface, he made used of flowing, straight, angular, vertical lines, thereby creating triangular shapes where all the objects in the artwork met i.e. the lake, the trees, and the road. He made use of both warm and cool colors and created a good combination of both and every thing in the painting suggests to be fading in an angular direction which suggests that the artwork is a flowing piece.
We can see the unity of all the element in the artwork pertaining where they all meet thereby creating a balance in the artwork, all the elements in the painting creates rhythms because of how they all blended and combined together.
To me this artwork is really a master piece because of his combination of warm and cool colors and his stroke and also been able to combine so many themes into one and also nice and balanced colors which makes the scene come alive and I also think his style is unique.

TITLE: ALLEY BY THE LAKE by LEONID AFREMOV
The painting alley by the lake by Leonid afremov is a master piece of the Belarusian artist who loves painting vividly-coloured landscapes, cityscapes and figures, and is typically painted using a palette knife and oil paint.
The painting depicts the image of a couple walking on the alley by the lake during a spring night. The paint art piece which was painted in 2007 is widely loved and critically acclaimed by his fans. The second copy was sold in 2009 after the first was lost in the country of Israel.
The art work is generally a painting which according to the artist comprises of oil and palette knife. It has a flow of colours which are somehow doing the duty of illuminating the aspects of the painting which need to be illuminated. The artist does a magical job by incorporating the street lights by the alley and giving the ground a mirroring effect to show that it is wet. The couple in the painting are dressed in modern cloths which show that the time period which the artist is going for is the modern time. The couple is under an umbrella which shows that it is raining, a factor which the artist supports with a dark grey sky in the painting.
The painting is a square shaped and has natural colours which make the painting realist kind of painting. The artist makes good use of warm colours to show the illumination of the light and cool colours to show the lake and the rainy sky. He successfully blends these colours in together in a brilliant way that it does not contrast.
Being a painting not painted by the traditional painting brush, it shows talent, creativity and calmness. The painting gives a good and warm atmosphere with its calm nature and artistry.
